How to find IP and MAC address of your PC?

Internet is connection of many and many computers together.  But for identify the particular computer system; a unique IP address is provided to each computer connected together. So we can easily found the desired computer by its IP address.

What is IP and MAC Address and How to find IP of my PC?
A unique string of numbers separated by full stops (i.e. 192.168.1.1) that identifies each computer using the Internet Protocol to communicate over a network. Computers use Internet Protocol (IP) so that the right information reaches the right destination. Every computer has unique IP address.
A media access control address (MAC address) is a unique identifier assigned to network interfaces for communications on the physical network segment. MAC addresses are used as a network address for most IEEE 802 network technologies, including Ethernet.

Steps to find IP and MAC of any PC:
Using Windows XP/7/8:
  • Open Command Prompt (press WIN KEY+R then type cmd and press enter).
  • In command prompt type ipconfig /all and press enter.
  • The prompt will return network information for each network adapter in your computer.
  • To find your computer's IP address, look for the 'IPv4 Address' or 'IP Address' entry. Typically it looks like a string of numbers separated by periods, such as 192.168.1.1.
  • To find your computer's MAC address, look for the 'Physical Address' entry. This line will display your adapter's MAC address, which typically looks like a string of letters and numbers separated by dashes.
